Further development:
Symbolism/narrative in objects:
One of the objects in the film that drew my attention was the massive shallow wobbly wooden bowls Mia and Jof used to share fresh milk and wild strawberries with Antonius, Jöns and his girl. Since this simple generous gesture of sharing food in a humble container from a relatively poor family to strangers later became Antonius’s crucial meaning of life before death, the emotional durability within this object weighted so much in my heart. One of my goal for this project is "Capturing a narrative in a still piece of work/object.", which this wooden bowl had already achieved, and I think it would be an interesting element to further develop on for this project.
As mentioned in the aftertaste sessions, barriers like grids and gates are also important objects/elements of the story.
